Introducing our interpretation of the ancient uterine amulet, a powerful symbol of protection and fertility rooted in the traditions of the Greco-Roman world. This amulet is meticulously crafted to serve as a talisman for women, offering support on their journey to motherhood. Designed with symbolism inspired by ancient practices, it is meant to bring peace, strength, and a sense of connection to the countless generations of women who have sought divine protection and blessings for fertility and childbirth.

Our uterine amulet is a beautifully crafted piece that draws directly from the rich traditions of ancient protective talismans. At its center, it features the traditional image of the womb, paired with the key, an ancient symbol of unlocking new life. The idea is that the key opens the womb for conception, then closes it to keep the baby inside. . Surrounding this is the figure of Chnoubis, the protective serpent deity associated with healing and guarding against harmful forces, particularly those related to women’s health.

Encircling these powerful symbols is the Ouroboros, the ancient serpent biting its own tail, representing the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth—a potent symbol of protection and continuity. Beyond the Ouroboros lies the magical formula known as the Soroor-Logos, an ancient spell believed to invoke divine protection and ensure the well-being of the wearer.

In ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, childbirth was fraught with danger. Every pregnancy was a step into the unknown, a risk that women carried with them, making the desire for control over their reproductive health even more urgent. These amulets offered women a sense of agency and empowerment in the face of such grave risks, helping them reclaim some control over their own fates.

The reverse of the amulet carries the ancient Greek inscription ΟΡΩΡΙΟΥΘ, also known as the Oroiouth. Some sources say the Oroiouth is a womb protector (Aubert 1989) while others say it is part of a magic spell for opening (Hanson 1998). Either way, it is found on almost all ancient uterine amulets.

This amulet is more than just jewelry; it’s a powerful connection to the past, intended to provide modern women with both fertility support and protection during childbirth. Whether you’re on a journey to conceive or seeking protective energy, this amulet serves as a beautiful and meaningful companion.

Why Solid Gold ✨

Solid gold is the best option if you:

1. Want to wear your piece forever or pass it down as an heirloom. Solid gold will last for centuries without degrading.

2. Want to invest in jewelry as an asset rather than an accessory. Gold traditionally appreciates in value and can always be melted down and made into a new piece

Unlike many brands, our gold is never hollow - it is always 100% solid, cast using the lost wax method, meaning there is a lot more gold in each piece.

Our gold is 100% certified recycled and each piece is handcrafted here in New York.
