The Leo Alchemical Zodiac Pendant is faithfully inspired by instructions preserved in a 17th-century alchemical manuscript, where its creation was described with meticulous care. According to the text, this sigil was to be crafted from pure gold, melted and shaped with precision when the Sun enters Leo, typically around the 13th or 14th of July.
The engraving was to occur under specific celestial alignments—one side engraved when Jupiter resides in Pisces, and the other side when the Moon is in Jupiter’s house, also in Pisces. Importantly, once forged, the seal was never to be exposed to fire again, as doing so would destroy its intended virtues.
This ancient talisman was believed to possess extraordinary powers. It was said to attract favor and goodwill from others, acting as a magnet for positive connections and beneficial opportunities. Its medicinal properties were equally revered—it was considered a remedy against fevers, pestilence, and infections, with liquids infused by the seal said to carry healing properties when consumed. The sigil was also applied to burn wounds, believed to draw out heat and promote rapid healing without scarring or infection—a remedy documented as having successfully cured severe burns in historical accounts.

Solid gold orders ship from our NYC studio and the time to ship is indicated above the "Add to cart" button on those pieces.
Why don't you make rings in Gold Vermeil?
While we love the affordability of vermeil, it's not an ideal metal for rings because our hands are exposed to so much wear and tear.
Vermeil necklaces can last 2 - 3 years with proper care, but we've never seen a vermeil ring last more than 6 months.
We would be wrong to sell these rings to you in anything but solid gold.
Does your jewelry come in a box or a pouch?
Both! Our packaging is made in Chicago and consists of a peach-colored vegan suede pouch in a branded box, so they’re easy to wrap up as gifts.
