The Aquarius Alchemical Zodiac Signet Ring is drawn from a 17th-century alchemical manuscript, where this sigil was described as a talisman of protection, clarity, and resilience. According to the text, it was to be created when the Sun entered Aquarius in January, from a mixture of gold, lead, and iron, melted and formed in Saturn’s hour—Aquarius’ ruling planet.
The engraving itself was prescribed to take place under Saturn’s influence, when the planet occupied the Ninth House of Heaven. Its symbols and words were to be etched in precise sequence, and the seal consecrated only after sunset during Saturn’s hour, to bind it with celestial virtue.
In antiquity, this talisman was believed to ward off cold diseases, muscular contractions, and the wasting effects of Saturn’s chill. It was credited with preserving memory, granting favor, and even driving away venomous creatures who could not endure its presence.
