Handcrafted in New York
Fairly made, fairly priced
Inspired by ancient rings that graced the hands of Roman Empresses, this is a piece to be treasured for decades and passed down through the centuries. A detailed braided solid gold band encircles your finger, displaying a substantial cabochon garnet in a handcrafted bezel setting. This setting is the same used by ancient goldsmiths from the earliest known jewelry.
The cabochon-cut garnet was a favorite stone of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Its name is rooted in the Greek granatum, meaning pomegranate. Lore and legend ties the winter fruit to Persephone, the queen of the underworld. The blood red hue of the garnet has been believed to protect the wearer from harm, as if Persephone herself has passed a hand over the brow of the wearer and deemed them still fit for the land of the living.
The Ancient Heirloom Ring invokes tales of ages long past and is crafted in 100% recycled 14k solid gold. Each piece is made to order for you in our NYC studio and takes roughly 3 weeks to ship.
Why Solid Gold ✨
Solid gold is for those who buy once and buy well. It will not tarnish, fade, or degrade; worn daily for decades, it only grows more beautiful. It is the right choice if you want a piece that lasts a lifetime or becomes an heirloom.
Gold has appreciated steadily for centuries and retains intrinsic value: it can always be melted down and reborn as something new. It is adornment that is also an investment.
Our solid gold pieces are cast using the ancient lost wax method and are never hollow. Every gram is 100% certified recycled, and every piece is made by hand in New York City.
