Euterpe Muse of Song Necklace
Euterpe (yu·TUR·pe) is the ancient muse of song and music, known to inspire musicians and lyricists through the centuries. Diodorus Siculus, a historian from the first century BCE, tells us, “ she gives to those who hear her sing delight.”

As the muse of song, Euterpe is most often pictured with an ancient instrument such as the Aulos or Lyre, wearing a laurel wreath of triumph. This handcrafted pendant depicts her in an original etching from 1832, holding a lyre and crowned by laurel.
The trademark Common Era raised molten rim frames the pendant, which is suspended from a finely-woven Italian-made spiga chain.
