Euterpe Muse of Song Necklace
Euterpe (yu·TUR·pe) is the ancient muse of song and music, known to inspire musicians and lyricists through the centuries. Diodorus Siculus, a historian from the first century BCE, tells us, “ she gives to those who hear her sing delight.”
Euterpe is there to strengthen your voice and guide your pen, teasing out new melodies with her divine inspiration. She is your muse if you seek to sing in harmony with the world.
As the muse of song, Euterpe is most often pictured with an ancient instrument such as the Aulos or Lyre, wearing a laurel wreath of triumph. This handcrafted pendant depicts her in an original etching from 1832, holding a lyre and crowned by laurel.
The trademark Common Era raised molten rim frames the pendant, and hangs from a finely-woven Italian-made spiga chain.
