The Gemini Seal Pendant draws from the intricate instructions of a 17th-century alchemical manuscript, where its creation was described in extraordinary detail. Traditionally, this sigil was to be forged from a blend of gold and silver, metals carefully melted together at the precise moment when the Sun enters Gemini, typically around the 10th or 11th of May. The crafting was to occur under the influence of the Moon in Leo or Pisces, with conditions calculated to ensure astrological harmony.
In the original design, two metal plates were to be engraved with celestial symbols and carefully spaced apart, connected by a metallic pipe containing quicksilver, sealed with mastic resin. The final talisman was meant to be with one engraved face turned inward, close to the body, ensuring the sigil's energies were fully absorbed.
Though the text withholds specifics on the pendant's exact powers, it hints at its alignment with Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini. In ancient belief, Mercury governed communication, intellect, and adaptability, suggesting that this sigil may have been intended to enhance clarity of thought, sharpen wit, and bring balance to duality—qualities deeply tied to Gemini’s essence.

Unlike "gold plated" jewelry, vermeil must always be on a solid 925 sterling silver base - rather than brass - with at least 2.5 microns thickness of gold. This is 3 times thicker than normal gold plating.
This makes vermeil a longer lasting product than gold plated jewelry, as well as more valuable because it's composed entirely of precious metals.
