I am so overjoyed to be met with our first semi-normal spring in two years. I am blissfully dreaming of human connection in the sunshine. Patio cocktails, shared meals, live music, all those things I promise to never, ever take for granted again.
As I dream up all these plans that I can finally make reality, I’ve curated a very romantic, exuberant vibe, and I would be remiss if I didn’t invite all of my dear Common Cause readers to take part in these extravagant (but deceptively simple) plans for the season:
Drinks with the ladies, obviously
Gather your girls and get ready together. Throw on your floaty floral dress, little heeled sandals that you haven’t touched since 2020, and make it a look by pinning just a bit of hair back with the prettiest Botticelli’s Daydream Bow. The custom, rococo-inspired print adds an effortless, dreamy magic that pulls together and elevates those girly, spring-y fits. Then it’s bubbly rosé, bright garden cocktails with basil and lavender, clinking glasses and laughter all the way down.
Spontaneous berry picking
Open your eyes to a morning when every bird and her mother are singing, pop denim overalls over a bright tee and call up your sister/roommate/bff to take a trip to the nearest u-pick farm. While you collect fresh strawberries destined to fill flaky turnovers, protect your locks with the silky, sumptuous Botticelli’s Daydream Scarf to capture the spring pinks and blues like a halo framing your face.
I know how badly we all miss the movement of melody through a crowd. Everyone’s finally touring again and local groups are crooning in little hole-in-the-wall locales, so grab those tickets and head to a show. Indoor or out, it’ll get a little tight and warm, so gather up your tresses from your neck with the utterly adorable Botticelli’s Daydream oversized scrunchie, paired with a white top and dark denim to positively pop.
A picnic on the water, in the park, or quiet urban space
If you’ve seen our Ad Astra collection shoot, you know we at CE love a romantic little picnic. All you really need is a blanket, a little charcuterie and fresh fruit, a lovely afternoon, and maybe a bottle of something buttery. Before setting off, turn yourself effortlessly into a springtime queen with a flowy cotton dress and the impossibly photogenic Botticelli’s Daydream headband, worn like a pastel crown – so don’t forget a camera to capture the perfection of a bright and beautiful afternoon.
With the constant barrage of bad news, it’s so very easy to let all that is good and right in the world slip between your fingers. Let nothing beautiful slip away. This is your permission to grasp the natural beauty of the season and let it fill you with warmth, with memories, with lasting joy.
